Control and Management
It is a sign
of the times that nowadays British wildlife comes into conflict
with human habitation. This can be as simple as moles on your lawn
or as complex as a heavy rabbit infestation.
Environmental Services implement where possible biological control
of most wild pests.
Ferrets and Hawks are used for the control of most rabbit problems
in almost every situation.
Foxes are becoming more and more common in urban society and can
cause problems in peoples gardens and threaten the lives of pets.
Foxes are known carriers of sarcoptic mange (scabies), which can
be transferred to humans. They also carry distemper virus which
can be fatal for dogs and other beloved pets.
